Sometimes you discover places where everything is just right – no frills, but heartfelt. The Heinzenberg campsite in beautiful Graubünden is just such a place. We've been there twice now: once for one night, and another time for three nights over Pentecost. And what can we say? It was wonderful every time.

The host: Thomas – the kind of person you'd want to be. You feel welcome from the very beginning. Thomas is straightforward, friendly, and has a keen sense of what makes vanlifers tick. No long explanations, no paperwork – just arrive, find a spot, and enjoy.
The view: postcard-worthy. Whether in the morning with coffee or in the evening by the fire, the view over the valley is simply breathtaking. The campsite is quiet and elevated, with unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. Exactly what you're looking for after a hectic day.

Dogs? Welcome! Our two furry friends felt right at home. Plenty of space, a relaxed atmosphere—here, dogs can just be dogs.
Open fires are permitted. A real highlight: building a small campfire in the evening, sitting outside, gazing at the starry sky, and simply enjoying the moment. (With consideration and responsibility, of course.)

Sanitary facilities? Simple, but top-notch. Sure, there's no spa area – but what you need is there: the toilet and shower are clean, well-maintained, and functional. That's all you need.
Restaurants are available right next to the campsite. There 's a small restaurant serving simple dishes—nothing fancy, but just right if you don't want to cook yourself. Honest, tasty, and satisfying.
Our conclusion: The Heinzenberg campsite isn't a luxury spot—and that's precisely what makes it so charming. What counts here is the view, the peace and quiet, the nature, and the hospitality. If you're looking for uncomplicated, heartfelt campsites, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back.
